It was a pretty restless night again. I need to work on NOT taking a nap during the day, so I can actually sleep at night. Undoing the jet lag is not so easy when it is a 10.5 hour time difference. Mrs. Coelho cooked potatoes and sprouts for breakfast with more chapati. I stayed home to work on some stuff, and had some peanut butter ☺️. Of course, my attempt to stay awake failed yet again. I set my alarm for an hour so I wouldn’t sleep too much. That turned into three hours, and then it was time to go to my first church service at Greater Grace Fellowship Church in Bangalore.

Gillian and I took an Uber to the church and I have to say, the amount of dogs on the road is unbelievable. They are literally everywhere. I saw one with puppies today and it was so precious, but I can’t touch because I would like to not get rabies while I am here. I haven’t seen any of them foaming at the mouth yet, so I guess that’s a good sign.

We arrived at the church and were immediately welcomed by familiar worship songs. It has only been a week since I have been to church but it felt like forever. The worship team sang “You Say” by Lauren Daigle for offering and that just blessed my heart. I met a lot of people after service. Some of the names were American. Some of the names were American with a twist. And some of the names were just full on Indian. Those are going to be the tough ones to remember. I’m thinking flash cards?

Anyways, after church, we headed to this place that P. Bryan compared to Dunkin Donuts, in the sense that they just go there for a snack and fellowship sometimes. I ordered garlic naan as my “snack”, it was basically a meal. We had it with raita (yogurt with cucumbers, onions...), the lentil sauce, and this new sauce. It was like cottage cheese with spinach. It was pretty good. I wasn’t feeling very good before we ate, and I didn’t think that eating more Indian food would help..... but I couldn’t resist garlic naan. I mean who could? So I ate it, and somehow I felt better afterwards. It’s the magic of naan.

Why is my username my email? Also the key to not napping is taking shots of espresso. All day everyday. 1/10 Doctors recommend it.
