We went to our first Christmas caroling Outreach today. The drive should have taken about 20 minutes in America, but in India, it took over an hour. I know I have mentioned the dogs before, but there are more dogs on the streets of Bangalore than there are seagulls on a beach. Every time I look out the window, I see one or two. Some of the ladies here sit side saddle style on the back of the motorcycles, because of their dresses (not a good idea). I watched this guy stop his motorcycle quickly, the woman falls off the motorcycle into the bushes, and he didn’t even notice for a good minute. Gillian says it happens all the time. Once we got there, we stood on the steps of an Indian McDonalds and sung our hearts out. We passed out loads of tracks, and overall, it seemed like a very successful outreach.
Afterwards, everyone headed over to a potluck dinner. Me and Gillian got food at the McDonalds. She said that the potluck food would be too much for me and that the McDonalds would settle my stomach. I never thought I would hear that sentence. I took a bite of my “American cheese chicken supreme burger” expecting no spice. That was a bad assumption. But I wasn’t sure what was making it spicy. After a while, I realized that there were not pickles on the burger, but jalapeño peppers. Of course.

Nothing like a gal with french fries.
Not bad. 6 days till you ate at McDonalds.
